Middle aged mom with MS, needs help to pay mortgage. have two boys, two dogs and two cats,only one husband!!! I was diagnosed with MS in 2000. I suffer from extreme fatigue and can barely make it through the work week. On April 7th 2004 I had gastric bypass surgery because we weren't sure if some of my problems were the MS or my weight. I was only to be off work for 5 weeks and was off for over 12 weeks which most were without pay and we got behind on the mortgage and other bills. There are a lot of doctor bills when you have MS. Then in Feb of 2005 I had to have an unexpected hysteroctomy because I had a large cyst on my rt overy. More time off work without pay. My husband works 6 or 7 days a week now and we can't get caught up. My oldest son will be 14 on Monday Sept 12, it's the 11 now and I can't even buy a birthday cake because I don't get paid until the 14 and I only have 3 dollars in change to my name right now. I just want to cry!!!! My youngest son is 9 and he has ADD is he is a real handful. I work as a correctional officer at a county jail. Believe me it's a hard job without having MS. I can't tell my employer about the MS because I know they'd find some way to fire me. Does anyone out there know where I can get some help for my family before we loose our home. Were 3 months behind on the mortgage and there going to start foreclosure proceedings soon. I dont want to be rich or anything. I just need to figure out how to come up with 160,000. before we don't have a house to live in. If anyone can help us I'll gladly give you my doctors name and all financial info to prove I'm telling the Gods honest truth about everything I've said. My poor husband works 6 or 7 days a week and I"m back to work but we just can't get caught up on the bills. I'm 3 months behind on the Mortgage and don't have the money to get caught up. I have nothing to sell,credit is bad cuz were behind. It's hard enough being a correctional Officer, let alone one with MS, can't tell my employer I have MS because I'm sure they would find some way to fire me. My oldest son will be 14 on Sept 12 and I don't get paid until the 14th, I can't even buy him a Birthday cake or he asked for soda for a treat for the kids at school. I had to tell him I can't buy it for monday because I only have three dollars in change to my name right now. Plan on going to church in the morning and can't even give an offering. Does anyone out there know where I could get some help. Or of a Mortgage place that would consolidate my debts with our current bad credit. My kids love our 5 acre farmette and I don't want to loose it. Help!!!!!
